Introduction into Travel Health

Your role​

  • The main aim of a Travel Health advisor is to protect the health of British travellers
  • With the increase in travel frequency by all ages and ethnicities, there is no formula for Travel Health advisement.
  • Every situation needs to be dealt with on an individual basis to maintain high confidence of customer safety.
  • Travel Health can be practise by anyone associated with a medical profession with no current standardised or mandatory training

The increase in travel trends bestows greater responsibility on the Travel Health profession.

This course​

This course will aim to:

  • Teach you how to formulate an effective and accessible risk assessment
  • Increase your confidence in advising the correct vaccinations to the specific client, depending on their travel destination
  • Briefly outline the health mitigations regarding malaria, including how to identify, prevent and mitigate the effects  from infection.
  • Teach you how to provide applicable and relevant Travel Health advice to a diverse repertoire of customers
